On Friday, November 10th, LaVergne Lake Elementary will be hosting its traditional book character parade for Kindergarten, First, and Second grade students. This event is a day to celebrate books, reading, and favorite characters from literature!
Start preparing now by thinking about what character you would like to be for our book character parade!
Read a book about your favorite character.
Make a costume based on that character. Be creative! Have fun together using what you already have in your home to create your character! (Try not to wear store bought Halloween costumes.)
The possibilities are endless! Some ideas: Dr. Seuss characters, Nursery Rhyme characters, Fancy Nancy, Corduroy, Pete the Cat
Parents are invited to attend the parade that morning. We will have some family activities afterwards as well. *More information along with an RSVP is coming soon!
